Health Minute: Benefits of Watermelon

I have been eating lots of Watermelon during this Spring.. it's always fun to sit outside or while watching tv.. to have a piece of watermelon during the lovely Spring/Summer Weather!
Right?
Well ever wondered what the Benefits of Watermelon is?
I prefer Organic Seedless ones.. just simply sliced and drank with some water.. VERY refreshing on a hot day!
This Sweet & juicy fruit is packed with some of the most important antioxidants in nature. Watermelon is an excellent source of Vitamin C which helps strengthen immunity, heal wounds, prevent cell damage, promote healthy teeth and gums;
& Vitamin A which helps maintain eye health and is an antioxidantand vitamin B6, which helps brain function and helps convert protein to energy. Also a good source of vitamin B1, magnesium, and potassium.
Did you know that Pink watermelon is also a source of the potent carotenoid antioxidant, lycopene. Which means these powerful antioxidants travel through the body neutralizing free radicals. Great Huh?
I also like it in Smoothies and served in little cubes with my lunch, great after a workout too!
This pretty fruit just SCREAMS "SPRING/SUMMER". AM I RIGHT?!!
